Overcome Maladaptive Daydreaming In
30 Minutes A Day:
Without Stressful Effort Or Losing Your Imagination

Finally break free of the cycle of maladaptive daydreaming.

This course is designed for the daydreaming mind, with short, easy to understand video lessons.

This gets to the roots of maladaptive daydreaming and takes you step by step in resolving them.

What You Will Learn

A gentle, body based, step by step framework to retrain your nervous system and mind, release the compulsive pull of daydreams, and reclaim your real life: without stressful effort or losing your imagination.

This is the most complete and comprehensive guide to recovering and overcoming maladaptive daydreaming.

I Know The Invisible Struggle. I Lived It For 10 Years

If you have spent years living inside your own mind, you already know the struggle that comes with maladaptive daydreaming:

  • You lose hours pacing your room with headphones on, immersed in detailed alternate worlds and storylines, sometimes for hours.

  • Or you do not have storylines at all, you repeatedly rehearse future conversations or situations to prepare for worst case scenarios, replay past interactions to check if you embarrassed yourself or performed well enough, or slip into imagined dialogues with people you know or fictional characters, while losing precious time and life experiences.

  • Or you drift away for several seconds in the middle of a real world conversation, coming back to reality only to realise you completely missed what was said. Then you pretend that you understood what they said.

  • And whenever you snap back into the present moment, you are greeted by the same familiar weight: guilt, shame, self blame, exhaustion, and the questions, "Why can’t I just stop daydreaming?" or “Why do I prefer my daydream worlds and characters over my real life?”

If this is your experience, please hear this first: you are not lazy, you do not lack willpower, and your brain is not permanently broken.

Maladaptive daydreaming did not start because you lacked discipline. It started because your mind and nervous system found an intelligent way to protect you from uncomfortable feelings and experiences: stress, loneliness, boredom, social anxiety, emotional overwhelm and more.

Trying to stop by forcing yourself with willpower is like trying to pull off a life jacket while you still feel like you are drowning. What you need is to be shown how to swim.

Why Traditional Advice Leaves You Stuck

Most advice on the internet treats maladaptive daydreaming as a simple habit problem or an attention issue. You have likely already tried:

  • "Just avoid your triggers" This fails in the long run because everyday life is full of music, tv shows, solitude, uncomfortable emotions and stress. Avoiding triggers only shrinks your world, while the underlying urge and root issues remain untouched.

  • "Just find another hobby" A hobby cannot compete with the dopamine and emotional safety of an elaborate internal world when your body still feels overwhelmed.

  • "Just sit and meditate" Traditional mindfulness often asks you to sit still with your eyes closed in silence. For a mind wired to escape, this usually leads straight into another daydream, followed by another round of shame and frustration.

  • “Just fix your life” People with maladaptive daydreaming are very aware of the issues in their life and how it contributes to the addictive pull of daydreaming. If it were that easy to fix, it would have already been achieved. There is something else deeper going on that no one has shown them.

Traditional advice fails because it skips the necessary foundation. Before you can sit peacefully in the present, your body and nervous system must first learn that the present moment is a safe place to be.

A Different Starting Point: Building Emotional Capacity Before Retraining

This course approaches maladaptive daydreaming from the root rather than the surface.

Instead of fighting your mind, we work with the body. By using gentle, body based practices to retrain your nervous system, we show your internal protector that you are secure in reality, with your emotions and in your body.

When your overall level of stress drops, and your emotional capacity increases, the compulsive urge to dissociate and escape naturally begins to soften. You are not forcing your mind to surrender; you are teaching it that it no longer needs to run.

Then it is far easier from this foundation to start building the life that you truly desire and meets your needs.

Designed Specifically for a Daydreaming and Distracted Mind

Most online courses are built like university lectures: 45 minute to hour long videos filled with passive theory that leave anyone with attention difficulties or a tendency to daydream feeling exhausted and behind.

This course was built from the ground up for how your brain actually works:

  • 7 Modules, 90+ Short, Bite-sized Lessons: Most of the lessons average just less than 9 minutes long. Many are closer to 7 minutes. Each video delivers a few clear concepts, practical techniques, or a few tasks. Designed to not overwhelm.

  • No Pressure, No Guilt: In the very first lesson, we address what to do if you drift into a daydream while watching with practical methods. You do not fail if you lose focus. You simply pause, return back to the video, and keep moving forward, while using the methods discussed.

  • 30 Minutes of Daily Structure: You only need about 30 minutes of scheduled daily practice. This gives you structured, predictable progress without demanding hours you do not have.

  • The 6 Step In The Moment Process: Alongside your daily practice, you will learn a simple 6 step process to use when an urge hits, while you are caught in a daydream, or right after you snap out of one. This takes zero extra scheduled time out of your day because it directly replaces the time you would have otherwise lost to pacing, daydreaming, or spiralling in shame. This is designed to reduce the maladaptive daydreaming over time.

What You Will Learn Across the 7 Modules

Across the 7 core modules, you will move step by step through a complete recovery roadmap:

  1. Foundations & Safe Starting Points: Setting up your environment for success, dealing with guilt and shame, and understanding how your mind and internal protector works so you stop fighting yourself. Understanding the hidden factors in modern life that are actively influencing the maladaptive daydreaming. Why you won’t lose your ability to daydream.

  2. Body Based Nervous System Practices: Understanding how your nervous system is involved, gentle somatic exercises that signal physical safety to your brain, creating calm before asking your mind to focus.

  3. Deconstructing Your Unique Triggers: Identifying the subtle emotional cues that spark your daydreams (shame, guilt, fatigue, conversational anxiety, avoidance, overwhelm and more) and learning how to understand and process them.

  4. The 6-Step In The Moment Process: Your go to process for interrupting urges smoothly, recovering from slip ups without self criticism, and returning to reality, while learning what your underlying emotional needs are and communicating safety to your mind.

  5. Grounded Presence (Without Closed Eye Meditation): Practical, active mindfulness techniques designed for daydreaming minds that keep you from being pulled into your mind by daydreams.

  6. Real World Quests & Meeting Your Needs: Decoding what your daydreams are trying to give you (friendship, adventure, validation, meaning and more) and gently taking real world small steps to build genuine fulfilment and meet your needs in real healthy ways.

  7. Long Term Neuroplasticity & Identity Integration: Solidifying your progress, and keeping your natural imagination as a conscious, healthy choice rather than a compulsive escape.

Rumzi Yousef
Creator of Mental Health Power

"I didn't learn this from a textbook. I lived it."

For ten years, I was completely trapped in maladaptive daydreaming, alongside depersonalisation and derealisation (DP/DR), depression, severe anxiety, video game addiction and more. I know exactly what it feels like to watch years slip by through a haze of imagined conversations, scenarios and daydreams.

When I finally recovered by shifting from mental willpower to a combined mindfulness, emotional capacity and nervous system approach, I started sharing the process with others. Over the last six years, my YouTube channel has grown to over 9,000 subscribers and more than 700,000 views.

I was invited by the International Society for Maladaptive Daydreaming (ISMD) to speak at their webinar, appeared on a podcast, and have written an upcoming book dedicated to recovery.

Everything in this course is the exact, organised system I wish had existed when I was losing years of my life inside my own head.

The Cost of Waiting

Take an honest moment to reflect on your last week or month.

How many hours disappeared into conversations that never happened? How many times were you sitting with people you care about, while your mind was miles away?

I ask these questions not to great guilt or shame, because it is not your fault. I ask them so you don’t go through what I did.

I missed out on so much time that I can never get back. Once I recovered, I had to work extra hard to catch up: and even now, I am still catching up.

I do not want you to live with years of regret, looking back at your life and realising you lost 10 years or more that you will never recover. It is not just minutes on a clock that slip away, it is relationships, real friendships, career opportunities, education, and genuine everyday meaning, peace, joy and happiness.

You do not have to spend another year watching your life from the side lines, or hiding in isolation. The mechanisms for change already exist inside your nervous system and mind, you just need a clear, structured path to follow.
